Virginia Schuster, RN-CNP


Virginia has held a variety of positions in both nursing and management in hospitals and community clinics in Missouri, Louisiana, Texas and Minnesota.

Originally, a graduate of a hospital-based diploma school, DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, she later received her baccalaureate degree in nursing from the University of Texas in 1983.  In 1986 she received a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Minnesota and was certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the College of St. Catherine.  In 1996 she returned to St. Kate's and finished her Masters in Nursing.

Virginia began working at MNGI in 2002, first in the Nurse Resource Center and later as the Hepatology Nurse.  In early 2004, she began working at the Plymouth site as a Nurse Practitioner.

She is  member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society and also of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. Her special interests are inflammatory bowel diseases and hepatology.
