Professional Background

Dr. McCabe received his undergraduate degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, then attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine. This was followed by internship and residency at the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. McCabe then moved to St. Louis where he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Washington University /Barnes Hospital.

Dr. McCabe has been active in research into the causes and treatment of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He has authored several journal articles and book chapters dealing with inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. McCabe is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. His memberships include the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Physicians and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
