Professional Background

Polly received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Rochester Community College in 1987 and worked as an Intensive Care nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.  While working, she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Winona State University in 1991.  After moving to Minneapolis in 1990, she began working at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  Her nursing experience includes Intensive Care and outpatient services, including endoscopy for six years.

Polly completed her Master of Arts in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth in 1997.  She is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Association in the Study of Liver Diseases, and Sigma Theta Tau, and is credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Her Nurse Practitioner experience includes Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology.

Polly began working at Minnesota Gastroenterology in 2000, and spends her time working with the inpatient population at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  She enjoys the acute care setting and collaboration with the Gastroenterologists.

In her free time, Polly enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, rollerblading, and time at the cabin in northern Minnesota.
