Professional Background

Dr. Pries received his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois, earning his medical degree in 1973. Dr. Pries performed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at St. Lukes Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospital in 1978.

Dr. Pries is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
