David A Wiechmann, M.D.


Dr. Wiechmann completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion. He continued at the University of South Dakota and completed his medical degree in 1989. Dr. Wiechmann completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso Texas. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following his residency Dr. Wiechmann served at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, where he held the rank of Major and served as the Chief of the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

Dr. Wiechmann is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology. His special medical interests include Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases.

Dr. Wiechmann also enjoys reading books, movies, outdoor sports, and especially his dogs.
