David S Hanson, M.D.

Professional Background

Dr. Hanson received his undergraduate degree from Bethel College, St. Paul, Minnesota and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Minnesota. Dr. Hanson served as Chief Resident at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center. His fellowship in Gastroenterology was earned at University of Minnesota. Dr. Hanson is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Hanson is a member of American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Physicians. His special interests are biliary tract disease, IBD and colorectal cancer screening.  He has served in a variety of leadership positions at Minnesota Gastroenterology over the years. 

Dr. Hanson enjoys golf, tennis, outdoor and family activities.
