What Keeps Me Coming Back - Week 4
August is MNGI Pride Month. During this time, our employees have an opportunity to share the experiences that make them feel good about the job that they do. We recognize that it’s the little things that keeps our employees coming back to work each day, and gives us satisfaction even when we have a rough day. Here are some of those experiences that MNGI employees have shared:
I knew I worked with wonderful people. Having been a patient lately, I found first hand what great employees we have from the scheduling all the way through – my experience was great. Everyone is professional and caring. Joyce L.
What keeps me coming back? I know that my voice gets heard in the company and the company is always open to hearing my thoughts and/or ideas! A few years ago I had asked Marit if we could do a “MNGI Pride Week”. She took down my ideas, discussed it with I think the Board of Directors and took it a step forward to have “MNGI Pride Month”! It is great to work with co-workers who are proud to be at their jobs, and to know my voice does count! Melissa W.
The Eagan staff made a tri-fold for the lobby. We all listed examples of what keeps us coming back for the patients and visitors to read and enjoy. We had close to 100% participation of patient/coworker related ‘stories’. Our providers even shared. These are the kinds of things that keep me coming back. Nancy E.
What keeps me coming back are patients that are able to follow the diet restrictions for a colonoscopy (I’m not sure I could do it)! Sarah T.
I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to talk with patients every day and share what I know with them. I also get a lot back in return from these patients, sharing their expertise with me. Meghan M.
My mother had a colonoscopy at our Maplewood Endoscopy Center and she told me “Annie, you have to work there! All the staff looked and acted so happy, you’d fit right in!” Then I saw a friend who worked at the Maplewood Clinic and said the same thing! I applied and for the last 2 years of working for MNGI not one day has passed where I haven’t had a great day! Sure some days are tougher than others, but with the continuous positive attitudes, great team work, and dedication from the staff, not to mention all the great feedback from our patients make it extremely easy and rewarding to come back to work!! Annie W.
I love working with everyone at MNGI because they are empowered and inspired to do the right thing for our patients. That makes me feel confident in my role that we are delivering excellent patient care and customer service. Tracy M.
I have worked in the medical field for 30+ years, for the last 7 I have had the pleasure of working for MNGI. Every day is different because of the people whom we have contact with over the course of the day. What keeps me coming back are the doctors we work for, they are the best, the co-workers I work with and the patients we all strive to give the best care to. When a patient appreciates when you have given that little extra for them it’s a great feeling. Colleen M.
It's pretty simple, I like my job. I love that there are challenges to keep me involved and stimulated. I don't necessarily like the challenges when I am in the middle of them, but it always feels good when you achieve the final result. I like the people and doctors I work with and I love interacting with patients. Everyday I see many examples of staff working together as a team, temporarily putting aside their own needs to help a coworker, patient or a provider to achieve the common goal of caring for people. I love the opportunities to interact with people throughout the company and to be involved in making things better for patients and staff. I love that there are opportunities to advance or change the direction of your career and to further your education if you choose. When people ask me about my work, I tell them that I like my job.
