Senior Management Team

Mary Igo, Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Igo has been the Chief Executive Officer at MNGI since 1997. Her focus has been to establish a cohesive organizational infrastructure, to create corporate culture change and to facilitate new business development.

Prior to joining MNGI, Ms. Igo worked in clinical nursing, management and service line development. She holds an MBA in medical group management from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

Marit Brock, Chief Human Resources Officer

Ms. Brock has led the MNGI human resources department since 1999. The HR department is responsible for recruitment, payroll, benefits, employee relations, workers' compensation, training and education, credentialing and peer review.

Ms. Brock holds a master's degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She participates in a variety of human resources leadership activities at the state and national levels.

Karen Lang, Chief Information Officer

Ms. Lang leads the MNGI information services team, which includes network services, software integration and support services. The IS department provides support and maintenance services to seven locations with 450 users, 55 network servers, more than 600 devices and 30 applications. The department also provides electronic medical record and application development as well as financial and clinical data mining.

Ms. Lang has more than 20 years of experience in the Minneapolis-St. Paul healthcare market, 10 of which have been in information services.

Tracy Mills, Chief Operations Officer

Ms. Mills is currently responsible for a team of nine directors, who supervise MNGI quality, scheduling, medical records and patient care activities. Since joining MNGI in 1998, she has been responsible for a departmental redesign following the merger of three smaller gastroenterology groups and for developing the infrastructure to support clinical quality initiatives and improved patient access.

Ms. Mills has more than 20 years of management experience in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospital, outpatient clinic, long-term care and durable medical equipment.

Dave Silvernale, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Silvernale has been responsible for the accounting and business office functions at MNGI since 1998. With 13 years of health finance experience, he is able to offer local and national perspectives on physician ownership structures, compensation formulas and financial reporting.

Mr. Silvernale holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and is a certified CPA. He is a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and Minnesota Medical Group Management Association (MMGMA).
