Jeanine Edstrom, PA-C

Jeanine, originally from Minnesota, earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the College of St. Benedict/St. John's University in St. Joseph, MN. After graduation Jeanine worked as a cardiac technician within the HealthEast Care System operating autologous cell salvage machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps along with being a perfusionist assistant and assisting in hemodynamic monitoring during coronary artery bypass procedures. Jeanine then went on to Cuyahoga Community College/Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH and earned a Masters Degree in Health Sciences with emphasis in Physician Assistant Studies.

Experience
Dr. Kandiel worked as a staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic and was a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center.  Dr. Kandiel also served as the Associate Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Kandiel is a recipient of an American College of Gastroenterology Clinic al Research Award.  He has presented his research at Digestive Disease Week and the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting, which are annual international conferences for GI professionals.  Dr.

Experience
Dr. Awais completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan.  She worked as an attending gastroenterologist at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio where she was a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. Dr. Awais will join Minnesota Gastroenterology in January 2013.

Kathleen Graham, CNP

Kathleen Graham, CNP

Kathleen (Calley) Graham received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota in 2006. After graduating, she worked as a registered nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis in medical/surgical and intensive care float pools. She has cared for a variety of GI patients in the inpatient setting. In 2012, Calley completed her Master of Arts in Nursing at Saint Catherine University. In her graduate clinical rotations, Calley worked in student health, primary care, geriatric care and inpatient gastroenterology.
 
Calley is certified as an Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Minnesota Nurse Practitioners.

Abby Phillips, RN, CNP

Abby completed her undergraduate degree in 2002 at St. Scholastica in Duluth, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Nursing.  After graduation, she moved to the Twin Cities and started her Nursing career at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis working on both the Float Team and in the Short Stay unit. 

In 2010, she received her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Minnesota.

Kyle Dexheimer, RN, CNP

Kyle Dexheimer, RN, CNP

Kyle received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2001. After graduating, he moved to St. Paul and worked as a registered nurse on medical/surgical and trauma units at Regions Hospital. In 2005 he began working at Minnesota Gastroenterology as a staff nurse, working primarily in the hospital setting.

In 2010, Kyle received his Master of Arts in Nursing degree from St. Catherine's University. He is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Kyle began his career as a Nurse Practitioner with Minnesota Gastroenterology in 2010.
